NightWatch Worship Leaders
NightWatch Worship Leaders are full-time missionaries who commit to raise their own support. We would like to invite you to consider supporting any of them. These worshippers and intercessors pour themselves out daily, leading within and outside the prayer room, serving the missions base, and are all committed to living a lifestyle of simplicity. If you are interested in supporting them you can do so by personally connecting with them via e-mail.

CLAY EDWARDS
Guitar-playing worship leader Clay Edwards, originally from Texas, has been on the NightWatch at the House of Prayer, since 2001. With one of IHOP's most distinctive sounds, Clay combines the feel of folk/bluegrass and acoustic stylings with his diligent study of the Bible and the Harp and Bowl Model (IHOP-KC's worship format).
Clay's team plays seven sessions per week. In their thirty-minute briefings, the team takes time to pray for each other, study the Word and learn the Harp and Bowl Model. In addition to their prayer room sets, the team participates in a weekly Bible study on the End Times and spends 25–40 hours in intercession in the prayer room, along with serving the Missions Base through media, cleaning IHOP, serving coffee and running sound.
According to Clay, the most impacting messages he has received at IHOP has been the reality that Jesus is coming back, and the importance of studying Eschatology (End Times). Clay's CD, On My Way featuring songs he has written during the NightWatch hours is available for purchase in the bookstore.

ALISHA POWELL
One of the five original interns participating in IHOP–KC’s first internship, Alisha has established her worship from the onset of IHOP with dynamic, soul-filled praise accompanied by her keyboard. Originally from a small town in South Central Kansas, Alisha moved to Kansas City, MO, where she lived for nine months before enrolling in the internship. Alisha was drawn to the House of Prayer with its authenticity of living out Psalm 27:4, and in turn, has drawn her life vision “to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life and behold His beauty.” Teaching and operating as a section leader on the NightWatch, Alisha has been impacted most and presents the message to incoming FITN interns of the reality that Christ lives in them (Colossians 1:27), making it possible to commune with Him because He resides inside—He is not far away. When asked about the next five years, Alisha says, “I plan to be here, praying in the NightWatch from midnight to 6AM, studying and teaching the Word, writing songs and discipling young people." Alisha’s songs may be heard on the Simply Beautiful and Constant CDs produced by Forerunner Media Group.

SARAH EDWARDS

After being raised in Michigan, Sarah came to the House of Prayer in January 2003 to join the Fire in the Night Internship program. Sarah has been impacted by the message of "God delighting to show mercy toward me; He actually enjoys extending grace and mercy in my life, freeing me to follow hard after Him."
Sarah leads worship from the piano, drawing her influences from Rita Springer, David Ruis and Misty Edwards. At her briefings, Sarah and her team dedicate time to study of the End Times and the Psalms as well has the Harp and Bowl Model. Sarah says, "It is a joy to pursue the knowledge of God in prayer and worship with my team."
"I see myself always living a lifestyle of worship, prayer and fasting. I have been wrecked by the call to give myself to intercession and adoration," said Sarah.

MICAH GILBERT
With smooth, clear pitch, Micah brings consistency to the NightWatch worship. Growing up in El Dorado, KS, Micah came to IHOP in August 2004 when she participated in the Intro to IHOP internship. Equipped with a guitar, she relates how her early influence “Lana Hartke—who is also a worship leader at IHOP—and her family would come over to my family’s house to play instruments, sing and worship for hours several nights a week … during those times of worship, I found what I was made for—to live a life of worship and devotion before the Lord.”
Micah has been impacted with the Beholding and Becoming principle, which she incorporates in her team briefings as she encourages her singers and musicians to meditate on the apostolic prayers to further spiritual growth. Also, she sets apart time for her team to pray and prophesy over one another to build unity.
Micah proclaims, “It is my vision to press in to knowing and experiencing the love and the power of God; to see it manifest in the lives of many in our prayer room and all around the world.”
