Praying the Word for Others

The Bible is the best resource for your prayer life. It is overflowing with simple passages that can be turned into prayers. When you are reading and come across a verse or passage like, Psalm 90:12, that says, “Teach me to number my days that I may gain a heart of wisdom” or Psalm 86:11, “Teach me your way, O Lord; that I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear your name,” stop and pray that verse back to God for others. For example,“Lord, teach them your ways so that they may walk in truth and know its way. Cause their spirit to fear your name. Unite their heart with Yours.” Once you begin to do this, it will give you language to base your prayers off of.

There are also the specific Apostolic Prayers. These are intercessory prayers to God derived from the apostles’ prayers written in the New Testament. They reflect the desires of God’s heart for the people. Common examples of these prayers are Ephesians 1:17–19, Philippians1:9–1 and Matthew 6:9–13. Because of the divine and positive nature of the apostolic prayers, they are an avenue to intercede for your geographic region, yourself personally, your family or the Church as a whole.

Good point, and VERY KEY in intercerssory/warfare, corporate and individual prayers. I would like to add to that 1 John 5:14-15 NKJV:

"Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if WE ASK ANYTHING ACCORDING TO HIS WILL, HE HEARS US. And we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him."

Our prayer becomes effectual,POWERFUL, fervant, DIRECT and humble when we present ourselves and others before the Throne Of Grace; when we pray according to His desires, rather than our own. GOOD WORD.

AMEN.I've been praying over my family, friends, church, basically all of creation.I'm already seeing breakthroughs and I am seeing a move of God,especially in my family.I expect to see everyone I've prayed for in Heaven.Of course the enemy doesn't like it and is trying to discourage me.It's not working, sometimes I do get aggravated sometimes. That's okay,Greater is Jesus in us than all of hell put together. It is HIS will none should perish. If you have the faith of a mustard seed, that's all you need.Hey,all be blessed.

Hallelujah! Thank you for a heart of selflessness! I feel the spirit of the Lord rest upon me when praying for others fervently and from the heart. It helps me stay focused on others and not on myself, which I have learned in my short walk with God, is a weapon the enemy tries to use against us so we move our eyes from Jesus and onto ourselves. Bless God for grace and truth and love! Thank you for everything this site provides!

I think praying the bible is very important because it gives you truth to base your prayers off of.
